I've read other reviews with mixed opinions on how to use it to fix leather boots. I had small punctures in the sides of my boots and decided to try this patch. I thoroughly cleaned both surfaces, let them dry overnight and applied them the next day. One fell off immediately and the other held, but the edges came loose and collected dirt. I still gave this product a good rating because I was trying to use it for something it wasn't intended for. It has a good finish and the adhesive is strong! I think, That's not it. I don't like being tied to something with such tight curves (on the sides of the boot, near the toe). and that's why it didn't work for me. Still, the one holding on was beaten and showed no signs of wear. If he had held up better I think he would have lasted a long time. I think it would be great for flatter leather repairs like car seats, sofas etc but wanted to post a review for anyone considering this for shoes. I think he would have lasted a long time.
