I started geocaching because it was described as a great introduction to GPS geocaching. I couldn't get the software to download files automatically, although I don't blame the GPS for that. Because it makes sense for premium members of a geocaching site, not being able to use software to automatically download caches is even better. The GPS got me closer to the cache every time and I also found useful trail features that I didn't buy it for. The only downside is that it's hard to tell if it's off or just on sleep mode, which caused my battery to die a couple of times.
