I find them quite comfortable so have bought 5 pairs in the last 18 months. Here is the state of each: Pair!. Exactly as expected on arrival; no subsequent problems. Couple 2. Exactly as expected on arrival; after about 7-8 months a small tear in the top thread at the top of the right side pocket. i am right handed Easy to fix if I want to bother. There is no sign of an increase so I haven't looked into it yet. Pair 3. Immediately there was no access to the cord. There is a hole and I see a white thread, but all attempts to pull it out have been in vain and only resulted in a broken thread. I believe it was sewn in place. Couple 4. Completely normal. To date there are no problems. Pair of 5. Arrived this month. I put it on and at first thought I received a smaller size than I ordered. Verifies that the size of the label matches my order. The problem is that the back strap is too low and has to be pulled up again and again, like there isn't enough fabric in the seating area. I figured I might just have to let the belt go further, but found that there was no longer a "rope" to let go. It was completely stretched. I have bought these pants over and over again because they are comfortable and cheap. The problems were not serious for my purposes. Before Pair 5 there were no deal breakers. Now there is one. I will return this pair. Maybe I'll try again next summer. Or not.
