If you need a plastic adapter to connect the wiper blade to the wiper arm swingarm, it does not fit BMW X1. However, the wiper itself can be removed from the Trico adapter and the small pivot pin on this wiper blade snaps into the existing original adapter. I was able to salvage my old OEM adapter but it cracked and may not last long. I ordered another OEM wiper and adapter needed for a full replacement. BMW part number 61622990035. As other reviewers have noted, the trico wiper is 1" shorter than the OEM, but it works.
