Given the reputation of the Reef Octopus Skimmer, my review is of little value. Eshopp's swamp use and can't record better results. Expect a break of 1-2 weeks before seeing real results from skimming, so don't be discouraged, just wait for the setup to work. You must also find the perfect balance for your sump configuration and air/flow mixture when changing the flow valve after it is "busted". If this happened, produce it! My 90 gallon reef tank produces enough water that I have to empty it about every 3-4 days+ and it's a disgusting green/brown stinky mess of scum. better outside than right? when you go on vacation. It has a drain plug on the collection cup that can be adjusted if desired. Otherwise you will end up with a much better value skimmer than the Reef Octopus. For comparison. I also have an Aqua-C Remora (another great skimmer) from a different tank (depending on the tank model) and the Reef Octopus produces more wet skimmer than the Aqua-C's drier skimmer (although totally different skimmer methods I would use) . it, but the rating is for 75 gallons or less.
