I respect the care that has gone into this product so I really want you to like it and give it a great review. Unfortunately it isn't. First, the material is superb (super hard plastic with a very nice glossy finish). The pattern on the shovel is an added treat. The dimensions of the product are ok - the scoop is big enough to pick up what needs to be collected. But the slots are too close together for the natural cat litter to fall through. I have many other similar sized shovels and this is not a problem. I shake the dustpan to remove loose dirt or droppings, but it takes forever to get into gaps that are too tight. During the shaking process, the pieces stuck together will fall apart and eventually fall out of the slots or ends, creating a bigger problem than the one I started with. The shovel is too shallow - it would be nice if it had a slight arc everywhere (shovel end and handle) like most do for usability and functionality (handle and bottom of the shovel are too much in the same plane). , preventing the shovel from being tipped for use by someone standing over the box). And as another reviewer noted, the pen itself is a bit difficult to grip due to the slick surface material and narrow grip. A HUGE plus point for this product is that it has the rounded corners that few products have and that was what motivated me to buy. The square corners don't go well with my rounded tray. I'll have to keep looking for a rounded corner shoulder blade as this one doesn't quite fit. But I'm glad to see it's working for some other people.
