Not ideal for: Power and hand tools

I have 2 vacuums, both Sears. One model is 5 gallons and the other is larger. Both use a red band filter. I have found that these filters do not fit the 5 gallon model and fit the 20 gallon model very closely. Original equipment filters have a flexible mounting ring and are rigid with very little flexing. It seems to be a case where the buyer is careful.
