My pickup truck sat on a thick layer of ice in the yard and sank after ca the wheels were sitting in nice little sundaes. I tried to break the ice with sand, boards, hay, etc. I didn't have snow chains, but that was my last resort. When I was looking for a chain I came across this one. After reading a few reviews about Revain, I decided to give it a try. For half the price of the chains, they appealed to my tight-fisted instincts. Considering I only needed them to peel off, this is doubly so. It was very easy to put them on. My truck has custom wheels with a large star pattern with large gaps that are easy to reach. I just screwed them onto each rear rim/tire and tightened. I started the truck and within seconds I was out of the sundaes and peeling! They seem to work in most situations I've been in when stuck with tire slip. When considering buying them I was concerned about the build quality, the straps looked flimsy in the photos. Well, I was wrong! The straps are very heavy duty nylon straps that can be used for tow straps. The D-ring buckles are also durable and these things are made to last. It was a great investment. Good design, good performance.
