If you have any assembly problems, particularly attaching the legs to the chair body, make sure you are attaching the legs in the correct direction. There is definitely a face-to-face situation. Maybe some of the posters still haven't noticed. When viewing correctly, the screw hole should face forward. Once we understood that, assembly became very easy. There are also foam wrap stickies that we taped to the bottom of the chairs to keep them from scratching the floor. We've been using them for our dining room chairs for a few months now and haven't had a single problem. I don't know about the more expensive big brands but they look great and we get compliments regularly. Some reviews have mentioned that they're not that big, but we're quite comfortable pairing them with our dining table (at 5ft, 5ft 7in, and 5ft 9in). I highly recommend.
