I was hesitant to order given the mixed reviews. You turned out great. The foundations were solid and none of them fell over. I didn't have any of the issues mentioned in other reviews, they all assembled easily and all worked. I have used them as centerpieces on small tables (seats 6) and they have been perfect. If you are using a large 10 seater table, consider something larger. They're much better in the dark, but not as effective in a brightly lit room. The color combinations are great, hold down the button to get different effects. Since the theme of my party was "space", I adjusted all the colors to appear and disappear. Very cool. They're reusable so I have a few left over to use for the holidays (red and green). I was flattered that people wanted to take them away, so about half of the 12 packs went home with the guests. Finally, set them a few days in advance so the fibers fan out and droop a bit, otherwise they'll stand up straight and spiked. In any case, they were dramatic, simple, and cheap centerpieces. They performed better than I expected.
