Very strong, sturdy construction; happy end. Don't let the low price fool you, this is a quality chair. From the description of the color "mahogany" I understood that the chair will have a red tint and that's what I wanted. It's definitely redder than the photo, so if that's not what you're looking for, choose a different finish. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there is a dent about 1 inch long on the front edge of the seat and a frayed area. The chair was packaged well and the outer packaging was in good condition, so I can only assume the fault was there beforehand. The chair was boxed, luckily not too noticeable after I added the cushion.
