Received this offer on the best day possible and had high hopes for it. Basically, if you can't attach the door at the end, you will need two additional pieces that are not included. Without these two parts, you cannot connect the last plank, which is attached to the wall with mounting brackets. So if you change the configuration to put the door where you want it (not the end), you are guaranteed to lose parts and not be able to use the gate. The guide will even help you set up the gate the way you want it, but don't say you'll be missing vital parts to even install one end of the gate. From other reviews I've read, this is no surprise, it lasts at least 3 years. I'm hoping that after 3 years of people calling to ask about items to include in the box, the company would just put the 50 cent plastic pieces in the box for people to set up the gate like this , the way you want it, right out of the box. Why am I calling and asking what you should do when you really care about the people who use these gates and the children who protect them. Edited on 07/26/17. Today I received 2 parts that will allow me to install the last pole. with wall brackets. The rep I spoke to on the phone said if you are using an odd number of gate panels there are not enough parts in the box. I asked them if they wanted to ship the parts that were supposed to be in the box or if they wanted me to ship the gate back. Spare parts sent free of charge. I keep it at 3 stars. A star for getting a gate can be put anywhere in the instructions, which is clearly wrong. And another star that made me call them to ask what they needed to send in the original packaging and waited for weeks with a gate propped up by a piece of furniture because I needed them immediately and they weren't ready to install . boxing
