Your opinion of tights will determine how you feel about this dress. I'm a size 10 and bought a large. It was pretty comfortable but not overly so. It also starts to give a little after you've put up with it for a while (although it doesn't stretch). I also have large shoulders and the material is a little pliable so I felt like I could move my arms freely. I didn't wear a bra because I don't need one, and the two layers of material meant you couldn't see anything that wasn't supposed to. So that was a bonus. Plus no strapless bra, no back flab. The back of the dress falls slightly, so depending on what bra you wear and how much you move, you may need to be careful not to suddenly see the strap. All in all it was a good dress. It survived my girls night out without dancing. I would even buy another color. I'm 5ft 7" and it hit me right in the knee.
