You might need an amp to get the best out of them, but overall great speakers.

The bass is not as good as I thought. Replaced a set of Pioneer paper cones with these and the Pioneer had better bass depth than them. They have been installed for about 3 months and should now be "broken in". I don't want to invest in an amp to get better bass. Most of the information I could find on them was that they responded well to my head unit's output, so I pulled the trigger. Not particularly disappointed, but not thrilled either. Functional. Good quality. Decent bass without much haze. The highs from the middle are good.
