Review on 🧸 KidKraft Wooden Sort It & Store It Bin Unit with 12 Plastic Bins - Primary & Espresso: Perfect Gift for Ages 3+ to Keep Their Space Organized by Christy Wood

Cheap but expensive.

Overpriced, not impressive at all. I ordered this for the espresso color to match my son's room, although the light oak colors were half the price. I was hoping the price tag would indicate the quality but no such luck. The sides are chipboard covered with espresso-colored contact paper, not even laminate. The contact paper is not trimmed well around the grips, exposing used flimsy paper stock. The dowel rods are weak, some already split and painted over with a cracked part. The manufacturer's quality control is terrible. They're nice enough that they include "extra hardware," which was helpful considering the kit was missing two screws to complete the build. Containers are the only useful feature, but they don't cut it for shelves. The leading edge barely touches the front bar. So if you hit it while grabbing the toy, the container will fall to a level below. It was installed in one day and it happened multiple times. I take the rack apart and make a new container holder with 1x8 shelves sloping forward with a trim piece to make a ledge. I should have done that first but figured I'd just buy "professional" to save time. What a disappointment! Zero stars for quality, zero stars for design, two stars for cool color baskets. I cannot recommend this device at this price. It can be worth its downsides for the $30 or $40 price tag. May be. You can go to a container store to buy trash cans and then buy an inexpensive bookcase and buy a prettier setup for less than that.
