Review on BV Adjustable Bicycle Kickstand: Concealed Spring-Latch for 24-29 Inch Bike – Ultimate Stability and Convenience! by Dhoal Shankar

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Terrible. The screw does not fit the threaded hole from the box.

The installation *should* take no more than a minute. The bike already had a plate for it, so I tried using the included thumbscrew (short) for a nice and clean install. No, it doesn't fit. I spent a few minutes before giving up and returning it (I had to dry it first). I tried a hex bolt and after a few turns it froze. It wasn't until I pushed the screw all the way in and then back out with a wrench that I was able to loosen the threads enough for the short screw to work. Attempt 2 went well except I ended up not being able to tighten the bolt with my fingers. No problem, right? I just use an Allen key. But despite the fact that I have dozens of such keys, I don't have one big enough for it. Ikea and pretty much everyone else will include the required Allen key but not from this manufacturer. Setting: 1/5 (see above). Stability: 3/5. The height adjustability is a nice feature. Too bad I can't back it up until I update my set of Allen keys. Easy assembly: 1/5. The screws should fit into their holes without being "snapped" with a wrench. Overall: 1/5. I thought I would put another star because of the low price but no. I'd rather pay 50 cents more for the right Allen key.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • High price
