Review on ๐Ÿ’บ Enhance Ride Comfort with Monroe Shocks & Struts Gas-Magnum 34963 Shock Absorber by Jose Morrison

Great shocks for the money

I don't consider myself a mechanic but do perform routine maintenance on my vehicles. I replaced the stock rear shocks on my 2004 165,000 mile F350 with these Monroe Gas Magnums. After reading everything I could on truck forums and watching YouTube videos, I changed them myself without lifting the truck or removing the tires. (Keep a jack and stand handy in case you need them, though.) My suggestions for a quick shock swap: Apply WD-40 Rust Release Penetrant Spray to the nuts and bolts (I did this the day before, but only lasted a few minutes). , before it worked for me). Use a whipping bar if the nuts stick. Remove the old shock absorbers one by one. Attach the top end of the new shock first before cutting the plastic bracket. Align the bottom bolt to quickly insert it into the bottom shock hole once you've cut the plastic mount and the new shock expands. Tighten the new shock absorber with the existing bolts and nuts. It drives like a new truck and handles rough dirt roads well. In my opinion, the few complaints I've seen about Monroe shocks are probably related to tire issues, not shock absorbers. I tow a 30 foot fifth wheel with no problem.
