I recently bought four of these (three different sizes) and replaced my old fluorescent bulbs. They are much brighter than the old lights and look great. These devices are well made with good materials. Since we don't have dimmer switches, I can't comment on that possibility. It's fair to say that replacing these parts isn't always easy, even with all the cables in place. Adjustment may be required due to differences in the positions of mounting holes and power cords. You will need a drill, bits of different sizes, different types of pliers, wire cutters, wire strippers, and several different screwdrivers. A voltage tester like the Klein NCVT-2 will also come in handy. All parts are included but you may need to replace the bolts with shorter ones and use larger nuts. Work carefully, take your time and you will get excellent results.
