we have tried everything with our wonderful dog who never barks. except when we go We started by giving him chew toys, a bone, an ultrasonic bark device, relaxing music for dogs (I'm not kidding), a citronella spray dog collar, an enzyme spray for his bed, and then we got another pet with an electric Collar. a shock absorbing safe that worked to some extent but then our dog howled as we left. it doesn't remove the noise. After using this for a few years and seeing our dog howl more and more when we walk away. after the next set of batteries is empty. We bought this one and oh my god it really works. I think it's the vibration that alerts you when a punch is coming that makes it so successful. because that's the one or two smacks we need to calm our dog down. For those of you who think this is a bad dog for you. NO. What's bad for your dog is straining the vocal cords and nerves of our neighbors all day long. Now he doesn't even try to bark or howl when he walks, what a great relief! Worth every penny. I rarely review products unless they exceed my expectations and I think someone else might find them useful! PS it has a quick charger that charges in just two hours!
