The remote control didn't work at all. The instructions were printed so small that they were very difficult to see and very sparse. I manually turned on the candles as instructed and then pressed the on button on the remote and the 4H button. I also clicked on 'Constant'. Four hours later the candles were still burning, and after another 4.5 hours when I pressed the stop button and nothing happened, I turned them off manually. The candles never flickered or stayed steady. They pulsed. Also, the battery "box" was very difficult to slide out of the remote control. He has been imprisoned. The candles also gave off a yellowish glow rather than a soft white. You need to remove the candles from the holder to turn them on/off manually.
