I didn't expect this unit to make a huge difference considering the price and comparing dehumidifiers that cost more than 3 times the price. But I was curious because of the description and reviews. Sometimes the reviews are confusing. Since the device was cheap, I bought it for testing purposes. I am very surprised how this block works. Bought and used for the bathroom. The humidity seems to have dropped. I tried it in my bedroom. In the morning I noticed that my pillow wasn't wet. I usually program our air conditioner for an hour. An hour later I wake up at night with a sweaty pillow. Last night my pillow wasn't wet. I slept well for the first time this summer. I don't know how much moisture this device removes, but it works. The drying process is slow but noticeable. I will be purchasing two more units, one for storage and one for the bedroom. I also buy a 70 liter unit to service. However, I am impressed with the performance of these little devices. I'm amazed at how long these devices last. UPDATE: The device only removes what it can. I would have to buy a bigger block. I have noticed a difference with this device running in my bathroom. I sweat less, the smell in the bathroom is gone and the floor is drier and not slippery. Also no mold. Mold attracts ants. Ants eat mold and a long-legged spider eats ants. No more using Tilex. So far, so good. UPDATE: After a few months this device is working perfectly and reducing the humidity in my bathroom which also reduces bathroom odor.
