I broke one of these sharpeners while sharpening 12 new Prismacolor erasable crayons. I had to empty the container after about 10 pencils were sharpened by new ones. Lead is not broken, easy to sharpen to a sharp point. Works equally well with standard #2 pencils. Easy to empty. My kid kept some of these and gave some away to friends. They are so cute and the kids love them. Seems sturdy enough for everyday use, is a good size and is aimed at elementary school students, but may also work well and appeal to an older audience.
