I mixed it as instructed and resoaked the area for 3 days. When that proved ineffective, I doubled my strength and retreated twice a day for two days. I let it dry completely after 7 days of continuous treatment with the solution and the area still smelled TERRIBLE! On day 8 I sent the balance back for a refund and ordered the Natures Miracle Cat Urine Destroyer. It's the only one that has ever worked in the past, but I thought I'd give this brand a try given the good reviews and slightly lower price. What a HUGE mistake. *Update: A few days before I could use Natures Miracle, the smell was reduced a bit. I can see how this can work with dog urine and possibly cat accidents caught early. My cat was a secretive urinal with diabetes and kidney disease; We didn't know where her pee places were besides the toilet until she started using the couch as a toilet.
