I used this to replace the red sensor which was DOA (lots of broken LED cells so numbers didn't show up properly). Green is much brighter and easier to read in any ambient light. The sensor itself is fairly accurate, I tested it directly on the battery with an electrical tester and it is within +/- 0.1V accuracy.
