I have to put my hands up and admit I've bought some pretty bad knife sharpeners in the past. None of them seemed to work and got kicked out. When I saw this one I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. I followed the instructions that came with it and continued to sharpen very dull knives. To my great astonishment, they now have a good cutting edge again. I can only say what I find and would have no hesitation in recommending this sharpener to anyone. A few tips: buy an elastomer and don't forget to tell your wife that you sharpened your old knives!
