No joint protection
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product. There is no insulating material in the pocket to protect the wrist - just a thin piece of cotton. The first time I used these oven mitts, I hit the oven with the back of my hand while removing the baking sheet and burned myself. Yes, they can be used to finish pots and lids on the stove. However, I've always had padded potholders on either side of my bag and prefer them to bulky potholders.
