I have angle filters but I just added the square ones to another tank. They work well, and those who say it's too strong must be using a valve to regulate the air pressure from your pump. I have valves to slow it down and it works very well. I have tried all types of filters but I really like both, they fill very well and are easy to clean when needed. If the reviews say it's too strong for your 5 gallon or tiny tank, well, your tank is too small for anything to really thrive in it. Get the best setting for your fish and multiple pressure control valves.
