Very pleased with this sander which I bought from a local store (for less than shown here at the time of writing) after looking at similarly priced sanders and 1/ Dewalt had looked at Makita 4-blade machines. This 3 amp grinder is lightweight yet strong and powerful. Light weight was important to me as I was sanding a wooden top. I used the included vacuum adapter to connect it to my shop vacuum and the dust pickup was excellent. I used 3M "Pro" sandpaper which has a slight tack on the paper side (also on the despot). The included paper punch places the vacuum holes in the paper, but after punching I increased the size of the hole to fit the sanding disc with a small screwdriver. No dust - just what you need when sanding right overhead! The paper is held in place by a plastic clip at the front and a wire ball at the back. I read complaints about plastic clips in the sim but my skin didn't move at all. With the volume, everything is fine with this device - not quiet, but bearable. In-hand vibration is great, very low and comfortable, and the grip is well-matched to my palm (I'm a white male with an average hand size). A switch is a design consisting of a button that needs to be pressed and another that needs to be pressed. The dust cover doesn't seem to flex much, so I'm assuming this dust cover will last the life of the tool. The cable can be 6 feet long and surprisingly has a small molded RF magnet on the cable at the end of the plug, which is likely to reduce the hum of an audio device on the same circuit. Only criticism: the wire is tough and "memory" keeps the bends in the wire, a nuisance on the stairs. It's probably worth taking care to route the cord in the hot sun. I can only recommend this grinder and will buy it again.
