This dowel driver is very easy to use. The instructions are on the back of the box. It conveniently allows you to drill a few holes (on the same surface) for 3 common sizes of anchors. I had several problems with the device I received. First, the clamping flanges (the shiny outer parts) are aluminum and will flex outward slightly when clamped. This allows the jig to wobble a little, so you have to be careful to keep everything aligned (or the bottom edges of the clamp flanges fit properly). Second, in the device I received, the holes weren't dead between the two clamps. enough (as determined by measuring the drill hole) so I had to preload the clamp flange on the handle side by more than 1/16 inch. When you receive your device, drill some pilot holes and check alignment. Certainly if I order this device again.
