Works best with power tools and hand tools

I have a 7x14 mini lathe and have mostly worked with softer metals (brass, bronze, aluminum) so regular high speed steel (HSS) tools worked fine - but recently I had a project where I was shooting a fairly stiff shaft and the HSS just wouldn't cut it. So I decided to try this 8% cobalt steel cut-off wheel. That worked well. Made sure it was properly adjusted and level, used some lube and it cut through the hard steel shaft quickly and cleanly. Made a few cuts and it kept its edge. A good product.
