What about the vacuum belt? It does the job for which it is intended. This is the right size for our Eureka handheld vacuum. The rubber feels stiff enough to withstand the pressure the vacuum puts on it, but flexible enough not to tear. I will update this review if there is anything particularly good or bad about the lifespan of this belt. However, a major disadvantage of this belt is that the coating of the rubber is quite thick. This coating, whatever it is, does not seem to come off completely, even with prior rubbing with your hands. My fingertips turned black as I held the belt, and after rubbing it with a cloth and applying it to a vacuum, it left streaks on the carpet. While I understand that the manufacturing process can leave marks as the belt ends up being attached to something that rubs against the carpet, it would be nice to wipe off a little less residue.
