I was actually going to give this thing 5 stars but I can't. After living with the Garmin Forerunner 220 for a few weeks, I got pretty good at what it was. It's a larger face than what you might see on a business suit watch, but that's to be expected. For people with small wrists, they can seem a bit big. It has long battery life, especially in non-GPS mode. I would say I can get a good 2 weeks benefit from working 4 times a week and leaving it in GPS free mode the rest of the time. It also has a fast loading time. About 90 minutes takes it from 30% to full. It can be read with polarized running glasses in bright sunlight which is a HUGE plus. Those are good moments. Now for the bad: I don't think the GPS is particularly accurate. One day the GPS caught me walking through a very solid building. While this resulted in a PR for my first mile, it was inaccurate. I didn't walk straight through a solid building. He overestimated some of my courses and underestimated others. I don't drive in populated areas. It doesn't lose a signal, so I'm a little worried about these inconsistent measures. I've noticed these results in multiple places, so it's not just one place. I still recommend it, but I warn you to pay attention to the GPS results. The comparison between this device and other GPS devices can be instructive.
