LED lights add zest to my aquarium and my fish have adapted to them fairly quickly. At first the LEDs sync by color, but after a cycle or so everything starts to work in its own way. I wish there was a setting that would let you either sync or randomize them, but it's pretty nonetheless. The colors also change at a good pace, very smooth and gradual. I've seen other LED bubblers that are "hyper" and flicker like crazy from color to color; this one is not like that at all. It is much quieter and more beautiful, providing a cool light effect on the wall and ceiling at night. I've had it running in my tank for almost a year now and have never had a problem with its electronics. The bubbler part is a bit more picky. First, you need a fairly powerful air pump for it to work properly, and you definitely need to soak it before trying to use it. If you don't do this, it will have almost no bubbles at first until it absorbs enough water to expand just enough for the bubbles to pass through. When new and properly adjusted, it emits a very thin but full curtain of bubbles. Although over time. It clogs up pretty quickly. I have to clean my Bubble Stick regularly, otherwise only a few large bubbles come out. I can't blame the bubbler entirely for this as I have live plants that like to spread over it. I'm sure their roots and debris are detrimental to their potency. Even if the bubbles don't come out very hard, it still looks very pretty!
