Review on Fanola Yellow Shampoo Large Bottle by Tanya Ward

Coin toss. on shampoo and conditioner

Okay, let's face it. I combed through the reviews as if I could find a tick and took a chance anyway. I wasn't paid for this (I spent my last 20 on it). I had yellow and orange streaks in my hair because I was a $10 blonde. Not a big deal, but a cheap solution was a good idea. The bottle arrived safely. (I tried to upload some photos but my phone just wasn't there). So I'll try to edit later. I now have a few greyish-purple streaks in my previously orange-yellow hair. Also, I don't think some people need blue shampoo to combat orange, which is often confused with yellow. I don't mind grey-purple? no Better alternatives. Would I use any of the online reviews if I already had a kit and a lot of money spent on my head? no I received 33 ounces of shampoo that worked in 4 minutes. I got in the shower to immediately wash everything but my hair to reduce the risk of becoming a dirty purple ogre and it worked. As for the damage, I have no noticeable new damage compared to lazily trying to dye my hair at home. So is it worth it? 33 ounces for $15 and some purple stripes. Yes. Is it a miracle no Not if you've ever dyed your hair. I'm not that impressed that I should buy it again, but I'm not that impressed that I won't buy some of their other products to try.

Pros
  • Softens and smoothes hair
Cons
  • Not for everyone
