I have been using metal cat litter scoops for a number of years. This one is lighter than the others and does a much better job of getting the little nuggets that cats dig out of the big ones. This is due to the size, shape and location of the holes. Nail clippers and a file are fine. IMO file is useless. That's all I can do to trim my nails, nobody's waiting for me to file. Even when I had a dog, he was groomed by a groomer and a "Dremel" for smoothness. The nail/nail clippers appear to be of good quality and are easier to hold than scissors. We hope that at some point we will be able to use it on a large number of young kittens.
