This is the best pen I have ever used and I have been using pen for over 31 years. My current 14 year old cat has some issues and her urine smells really bad. I've been hesitant to buy a Lucy for the past few months due to the high cost and needing to buy a new litter box to use it. My boyfriend likes to pee and I need very big and tall pots so the urine doesn't spill over the sides of the pot. (I don't like covered pots.) I bought a 25 pound bag of Lucy and, following the advice of several other reviewers, washed my current pot and mixed half Lucy with half my regular Tidy Cat. Instant results. No more smell of urine. And every time he urinates, a separate ball of urine forms. Before his urine pools and becomes what my son calls a urine stone. Less dust but not dust free but I mix brands that might be a reason. But as I said, NO MORE SMELL! Will continue to be mixed with Tidy Cat to keep costs down. *** Update February 17, 2018 *** My cat ate this litter and I can no longer use it. I'm so upset because this really is the best clumping filler ever. Yes, I took him to the vet and he is doing fine physically. Blood and tests are working fine. Just an update to let others know it can happen to them too.
