In February 2016 I bought two 15x20. One for meat, the other for herbs and vegetables. I use them but never abuse them and regularly treat them with Boos Wax and Boos Oil. Regarding cutting boards, you will surely be satisfied with their use. I bought an inch and a half thick and you will find them very comfortable. If you are like me you will never leave them with liquids on them or let them dry after washing them. I dry them with a towel and lean them against the wall to dry, exposing the top and bottom to the air. At least every third or fourth time you oil them. Never too much, just the right amount. So why only two stars. my 18x20 (yes I have multiple sizes) which I treat as if my baby has started splitting. I can not believe that. My wife can't either - I always wash it because it's too big for her, which you might want to consider. I contacted Boos. there is no help here. I also have several JK Adams cutting boards. I particularly like the one for very juicy poultry and roasts. However they are also reversible, one side is for succulent foods (which do their job well) and the other is flat like boos boards and can handle wet items as both sides have a channel so liquids are kept on the board and not your meter. This channel is key and you will love it as much as I do. PLUS, they guarantee their boards for life. Boos told me their boards come with a 1 year warranty. You may be wondering what made me buy Boos cutting boards given how much I love my JK Adams (my wife asked this too) for its size and thickness. . Keep in mind that some of us guys have a lot of the same tools, just different sizes and shapes, some are better for one thing and some for the other. I wanted to try something new. As I said, these boards are easy to work with (washing might be another matter) and I really like them. But consider how I took care of the board - I think you should be aware that your board can be split. I'm not saying it will be, but I did. Conclusion: Boos is a very good cutting board and you will love it. Just not that long. Honestly I think the disconnect is caused by a bad connection which should be covered by the warranty.
