Great for keeping homemade simple syrup in the fridge door

I was looking for the answer in their line of products. Before purchasing this bottle I tried a glass with a spout and not a 100% airtight lid. I had a lot of drips and had a very hard time keeping it and the fridge door clean. Switching to Lock and Lock was the best thing I could do. For my use, I took out part of the blender bottle (but I plan to buy another one to make and store salad dressing, which works great with the blender.) I'm making syrup (I'll attach the recipe below). let cool slightly, pour and let cool completely. Then I seal it with a lid and keep it in the fridge (I like that the size is great for keeping on door shelves). When I want to use it, I open the top of the spout and pour the syrup into my glass. Washes easily with hot water, I hand wash the bottle for future use. I use a simple syrup as it doesn't need to dissolve like sugar - it's already dissolved in the water. I prefer the 2:1 (sugar/water) rich syrup which is the standard for UK bars and I like the organic raw sugar which I buy in the big department stores. Refined sugar will be clear and my syrup will be light golden brown. Sugar syrup should be refrigerated to avoid mold growth. Mix 3 cups of sugar with 1.5 cups of water in a saucepan. Bring to a slow boil, stirring frequently. The sugar should dissolve fairly quickly. When it becomes clear (perhaps after a minute or so while simmering), remove from heat and let cool. Allow to cool completely before storing in the fridge.
