DO NOT buy this light to illuminate a dark room, you will be disappointed. This is a great fill light with variable brightness and temperature control - very nice! The product is durable, made of metal, not plastic. The case is very nice, the light, the power cord and the adapter fit well and neatly; body is soft. The whole system looks and feels good. The curtains are a real breakthrough, giving this device five stars, especially when you factor in the all-metal construction, temperature and brightness controls, and wireless, yes wireless, connectivity. For an additional $20-$30, you can get a dual battery pack and charge this device. which incidentally uses two batteries. I think the product is a bit overpriced at $172 +/-. The actual lighting is about 9 inches by 9 inches, as said, this should not be used to fill the room with light, only used as an auxiliary or fill light. This is a five star product in every way except the price. I'm not a fan of cheap, but I think they can easily drop the price an extra $40-$50. I have two of these lights along with a set of PRO PBL heavy duty stands. I would add that I bought them so I don't have to lug around softboxes that use multiple CFLs and are bulky to say the least. I don't want to be critical but I will give this light 4 stars based on the price. If price is not an issue, you will NOT be disappointed with this product when using it as a fill light.
