I like bright reds and golds. The collar is over 1/2" wide, the loop is larger than it appears in the pictures. This loop is best suited for a medium or large collar. It is too large for a small collar. There is a metal loop under the shackle attached that is for pendants or bells and not for attaching a leash. The collar has a D-ring for a leash next to the buckle. However, for small breeds or puppies, I think it's safer to use a harness on a leash, rather than pulling or leading the pup/younger breed off their necks Hope this helps if so please mark as helpful.
