I have used these cards in refurbished iPods - I removed the hard drive and replaced it with a flash memory card and one of those cards was loaded onto this card. Maps, which is more than enough for most people (18,000 tracks only fill about 60% of this map, and iTunes can't address much more than my model). The result was a lighter, faster, and more responsive iPod, and I needed a branded card to reliably hold the device after the restore. So far I have not been disappointed! I've used multiple Samsung SD/Micro SD cards in an iPod update for the past two years with no issues. I can also recommend purchasing these used cards from Revain's inventory as they are often lightly used and show no signs of wear or damage. Just reformat with the official SD card formatter and you'll never know it's not included in the retail box.
