AWESOME product. I hooked it up to my LARGE Panasonic professional plasma display which has no audio outputs other than speaker level outputs. With this little magic box, I can now connect my new bookshelf speakers to an amplifier using an RCA cable. I can also connect my old Pioneer Elite 5.1 DTS surround sound processor and headphones for private listening. If I could give those 10 stars I would. This is a great solution for a silent monitor I just bought and I love the picture from it. Plug this little box into the HDMI output on the back of the monitor and plug the Blu-Ray HDMI cable or cable box HDMI cable into the HDMI input on the other side of this little box and you were done. Sounds fantastic. I would definitely recommend this article to anyone who needs to capture an audio signal when your monitor doesn't have RCA outputs or built-in speakers. When I turn on and plug in my TV box, Playstation 4 or my Blu-ray player connected to this box, I get a black screen. I hear sound but the video is off. If I touch the cable at the junction on the box and move it just a little, the video comes up for a second. If I then angle the cable at an odd angle and wiggle it a little, the video plays, but I have a few red bars and blue-speckled flashes all over the large plasma TV. Totally insane now. I think I wasted my money on a defective item.
