Review on ✨ Optimized Search-Engine Mountain Hardwear Women's Stretch Ozonic Parka by Tony Reid

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like it but better for regular torso ladies (not petite)

I've had a chance to see both Mountain Hardware Stretch Ozonic in jackets and parkas. There are only two differences between the two raincoats: (1) the overall length, where the parka is significantly longer than the jacket and covers the back, and (2) the wide elastic waistband on the parka, but no waistband on the jacket. . If you're under 5ft 2in, have a very short torso, or like to layer, I would recommend a jacket over a parka as the waistband of the parka pulls up the torso a bit on smaller girls and the zip pulls a little loose. That being said, if you are a woman with a normal height of over 5ft 3", the parka will be a bit 'slimter'. That being said, I've been a fan of the Marmot raincoat since my first Precip in 2012. Last year I bought a Marmot Phoenix Evodry (MSRP $175). I'm sorry to say that this Mountain Hardware (MH) Stretch Ozonic (MSRP $200) parka will easily put my phoenix to shame. There's a lot to love about this jacket: - The MH is softer and doesn't feel like a garbage bag when you're out and about. - MH has the same number of pockets (three) and almost the same hood design. - I appreciate the dual zips for ventilation, but wish they were lined with mesh instead of being fully open to the elements. It has good freedom of movement for arm movements (the bottom hem doesn't rise appreciably when you make large arm movements, although the zipper can "bulge out" at the torso if you're short due to the belt) - Two drawstrings in the hem to opposite sides. What is not very pleasant: - Weak and small flash; Most of them require two hands to operate or don't zip up smoothly (perhaps due to the less "textured" fabric). In addition, the zippers are poorly covered with slats. I will say that the covered and higher quality Marmot zippers (easier to open) are much better than the MH Stretch Ozonic. Hood Design - When you pull the strap at the back, the cord is on the upper quarter of your ear. It's a weird feeling that I couldn't get rid of even after wearing it for a long time. I have a medium sized head, so I guess this doesn't just happen to me, it happens to other women too. In addition, my visor is so deformed that it falls towards the forehead. I'd like companies to put a wire or flexible piece of plastic inside the front hood to ensure the hood visor is properly seated, but I imagine this might interfere with the packaging as well. could test a little. It worked about as well as my groundhog, but without testing it in an hour or two of showers, I'll still leave my opinion. Fit: I'm 5ft 1in, 36x30x36, 140lbs and have a medium fit. Summary: The pros definitely outweigh the cons and if you are over 5'3 this jacket is fine. Because it doesn't look or look like a raincoat, it's a good all-round option as a light jacket or windbreaker. If you are particularly price sensitive the Marmot Precip and Phoenix still offer amazing performance value but the Stretch Ozonic is definitely a contender and a really good all around lightweight foldable jacket. highlighted.
