the best foot rasp you will ever own. it honestly looks like one of the micro-graters. The holes are not notches but circles that are evenly sharp around the circle. A regular rasp only sharpens in one direction because it has notches. This rasp smooths out the up and down motion (and I envision a side-to-side too). it would be nice if the grip was a little better, for example with a rubber grip or a non-slip part. it is very light and a bit slippery. but that doesn't stop you from using it well. Excellent purchase
