This jacket is perfect for rainy days. It is absolutely waterproof and the hood even has a hard visor built into it so that the rain simply rolls off. The hood also has a drawstring at the back to adjust if you feel it's too big. The hem of the jacket can also be adjusted with a drawstring if it seems too big for you. Sizing for a snug fit helps better insulate heat. It is on the long side so the medium size fits anyone who is medium to tall. I find it attractive when you're tall and skinny. The jacket itself is neither thin nor thick. On a rainy day, you can throw clothes underneath. Adding armpit zips probably won't work for me, but it might help others. It seems a little unnecessary because if you sweat that much, you probably won't wear that big of an insulated jacket. The quality is excellent and will definitely last a long time.
