I bought this for my son (just 8.49in, 48lbs) size 6. It's big, but he can still wear it. Pictured is a size 6 Hyperflex resting on a size 10 O'Neill (shoulders fit). O'Neill's seating is good for a skinny kid. Hyperflex is the same width in some areas, including the hips, and may be a better choice for a heavier child. The Hyperflex material appears to be thinner than O'Neill's 2mm. For my skinny child I would rather spend the same amount on a used O'Neill size 6 wetsuit for a better fit.
