Sturdy but upon closer inspection the sapphire looks like a rough cut.

The ring itself is strong and beautiful. But the sapphire stone, as set, looks a bit unfinished. I don't know how to describe it exactly. But the way the sapphire is cut looks about finished. Not smooth and you can see the buffer marks running along the top of the stone. But everything else is nice. I don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe go to a jeweler who might be able to give me better advice. Or maybe have it professionally cleaned? But otherwise I like it.
