Review on Cressi Skin - Adult Versatile Full Suit: Optimal Warmth and Sun Protection for Water Sports by Richard Alemayehu

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Leggy Friendly

I have just received and tried on my suit. Fits well and I look forward to using it for kayaking. The only reason I'm giving less than 5 stars (and wish I could give 4.5) is that firstly mine wasn't like the picture. I ordered black and silver and mine came with a black zipper instead of a silver one as pictured. No big deal. but not what i ordered. Second, the thumb straps don't seem to be oriented properly for use on my thumbs and they are quite small. They break the cycle (I don't have big hands so I think they might be more difficult for a man). The material of the hand should be twisted a bit to get to the thumb. not comfortable at all. It seems to fit my index finger better, but any stretch to reach either finger causes the material to curl back rather than down for more coverage. I think part of this problem is caused by the fact that the thumb holes aren't sewn to the end of the arm, but rather about a half inch inside the arm along the cuff seam. Its position is closer to that of the index finger, but it doesn't work with either. Any stretch to place the index finger or thumb will roll it back. So I will not use thumb holes. can try to do something myself if necessary. Actually little things. I was just absolutely thrilled when I found a leather suit for tall people. I have long legs and arms and am busty (34E) but elsewhere I'm not particularly tall with a shorter torso (5'9150, I usually wear a size 8 or 10). So far this suit seems to fit me just right. The legs are long enough that the stirrups don't drag down the crotch in penguin mode (leggy people know what I'm talking about. Tights have ALWAYS been a nightmare). Women's clothing was also always short in the sleeves. So I'm happy to report that this suit fits my wrists appropriately. Yay! If I remember, I'll update after my first real use. So far, so good. Hopefully there are many more kayak trips to come with sun protection in this suit.
