The quality of the mat is really very good! It seems very strong, thick and durable. However, the mouse does NOT glide easily and that was MY goal in purchasing this mouse pad. "Easy" might seem subjective but I asked my two daughters and my husband to try it without telling them what I didn't like about it and they all said the mouse doesn't slip/slip. I had to put a mouse pad on it, which defeated the purpose. Maybe I'm missing something...my daughter has this big rug and she has enough room to easily move her computer mouse. My Mac is less than a year old. So the mouse is relatively new. I keep it but not for what I intended to use it for. I am updating my rating as the customer service was top notch which is always a top factor!
