Have at least one with you.

I bought one for my wife and one for myself but we ended up loaning one to friends who were traveling with us. We had to charge 2 phones, 2 iPads and several portable chargers/battery packs every day. The USB ports were invaluable, as was the short 3-prong extension cord. While most hotels could borrow these adapters, hotel adapters didn't have USB ports and you had to remember to ask for the adapter at reception and return it so you didn't incur a cost.
